Abajo Lodge is conveniently located in Monticello Utah with  year round outdoor activities and adventures. This includes hiking trails, fishing, hunting, off road trails, mountain bike trails , rock climbing and lots of exploring. Monticello lies on the sheltered eastern slope of the Abajo Mountains, overlooking a maze of sandstone canyons and plateaus. The Abajos, topped by 11,360 foot Abajo Peak, are Monticello's summer paradise with mild temperatures cooling rains and recreations sites scattered through Manti-LaSal National Forest.Monticello is where Utah's past brushes against present, with ruins and rock art from the Ancient Ones scattered in nearby Bears Ears National Monument and Hovenweep National Monument.

Sand Flats Recreation Area, home of the arduous Slickrock Bike Trail, is also ideal for hikes and ATV rides through the La Sal Mountains.
